THE BUILDING WAS COMMISSIONED BY THE LITTLEPAGE FAMILY, A LOCALLY PROMINENT AFRICAN AMERICAN FAMILY, AND IT WAS HOME TO A HOTEL AND RESTAURANT. AT THE TIME, THIS AREA OF NORTHEAST SECOND STREET BOASTED SIGNIFICANT COMMERCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITY. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 1/11/1996.
